Materials

Register the products used as workshop materials.

On this page 7

A workshop material is a product flagged for use in workshop work, with the dimensions and weight information a workshop item's material lines can draw on.

Before you start

Workshop itself is not governed by permission groups, but materials are products. Creating or editing a material saves through Products, so you need Products › Create to add one and Products › Edit to change one (editing a colleague's material needs Edit on all records, not just your own).

The Materials list

Open Workshop > Materials.

Column Notes
SKU The material's SKU code. Links to its profile.
Name The material's name. Links to its profile.
Category The material's category, if set.
Price The material's unit price, to two decimal places.
Status The material's status.

Sort defaults to the SKU column, ascending. The toolbar shows a Create icon.
