A line is a simple named record for a production line.
Before you start
Production is not governed by permission groups. Any member of an organization with the Production module enabled can create and view lines.
The Lines list
Open Production > Lines.

Sort defaults to the Name column, A–Z. The toolbar shows a Create icon.
Create a line
- From the list, select the Create icon.
- Enter a Name.
- Optionally enter a Description.
- Select Create line.

Saving takes you to the Lines list, not to the new line's profile.
The line profile
Shows the Name, Status, and Description (if set). The toolbar carries a Create icon for starting another line; there is no edit or print action for a line.
Current limitations
- There is no edit screen for lines.
- No status options are set up for lines, so the Status column and field are normally blank.
- There is no Delete control for lines.
