#13 September 2026

• Updated Consignments: an optional Memo now appears when issuing a new consignment from the Issue assets counter, and is displayed in both the consignment list and profile.
• Updated Consignments: Issue counter now supports an Adhoc Item workflow to add unregistered items manually by name, quantity, and condition; these are stored as record-only consignment lines and can be received from the consignment profile.

• Updated the browser-tab and saved-home-screen icons to the white f(x) brand mark on a blue background.

• Updated Transfers, Reservations, Inspections, Asset Registry, Consignments, and Audits: every asset picker on these pages now also accepts a typed asset code or a scanned barcode/QR code, alongside the existing manual selection, with a switch between typing and scanning and a camera option for scanning without separate hardware. What a resolved code does still depends on the page: on Transfers and Consignments it adds the asset, refusing one that is not eligible; on Reservations and Inspections, typing narrows the visible list as before and the exact code match is added on Enter; on the Asset Registry it opens the asset's profile; and on Audits it jumps to the asset's row, ready for a finding, or — for an asset outside the audit — pre-fills an extra finding's description with that asset's code and name for review rather than recording anything automatically.

#7 September 2026

• Updated Consignments: assets are now received back through a scan-driven Receive counter, mirroring the existing Issue counter. One batch can settle lines from several open consignments at once, defaults a scanned item to Returned in good condition, and lets an operator flag an exception as Damaged or Missing with a note. Every receive writes an immutable receipt recording who handed the items back, and a consignment closes automatically once its last open line comes back in the same batch. Deploying this requires an administrator to re-run the reference data seeder so receipts can be numbered. Until that is done, the counter says receipt numbering is unavailable and receives nothing, rather than appearing to work.

• Updated the primary navigation branding to the white f(x) OCTO Ops logo. Selecting the logo returns you to the dashboard.

• Updated Stock availability: a reservation can now be released by hand from the order page, and reservations past their expiry date are released automatically by a daily job. The order page shows the reservation state and the reserved and short quantities per line.

• Published a new guide, Stock availability: confirming a sales order now works out how much of each line can be met from stock, reserves it, and records any shortfall. A tenant chooses whether availability is counted across all stores, per order, or per line; whether a shortfall blocks confirmation; whether administrators can override that block; and how long a reservation lasts.

• Updated Order confirmation: confirming now checks and reserves stock. Reserving records what has been promised rather than physically holding it — the warehouse screens don't read these reservations yet.

• Published a new guide, Credit check: confirming a sales order is now refused when the customer's total exposure — outstanding invoices, less payments and credit notes, plus the order itself — would exceed their credit limit. The order page shows the four figures, Owners and Admins can override, and both confirmations and overrides are written to the audit trail.

• Updated Order confirmation: confirming now runs a credit check. It still does not check stock availability or reserve stock.

• Published a new guide, Order confirmation: confirm a draft sales order once it's ready to move forward. The server re-checks the order's totals against its line items and refuses to confirm if they disagree, rather than silently correcting them.

• Published a new guide, Quotation customer access: a shareable link for an issued quotation with full line items and totals, a two-way comment thread with internal/customer visibility, typed-name e-signature acceptance with a full audit trail, accept-on-behalf-of-customer, and customer-requested revisions.
• Published a new guide, Guided selling: a short, admin-authored question sequence that narrows down matching products for a Quotations draft, run by a rep or completed by the customer alone through a share link, producing a proposal panel the rep reviews and adds to the quotation.
• Published a new guide, Order conversion: convert an accepted quotation into a draft sales order, carrying across its accepted Good/Better/Best option and any bundle lines intact. Also documents that an accepted quotation can no longer be edited, re-issued, or revised — Void is now the only escape hatch.

• Added Good/Better/Best scenarios to Quotations: a quotation can hold several independent named scenarios, issued together as sibling versions sharing one version number, with a "Mark as selected" record for whichever the customer chose.

• Published a new guide, Bundles, and added bundle support to the Quotations line-items table: sell several products together as one fixed-price line, from a reusable catalog bundle or grouped ad-hoc on a single quotation.
• Published a new guide, Configuration rules, and added configuration-rule enforcement to Quotations: dependency and exclusion rules between products/categories are checked when you issue a quotation, alongside the existing margin-floor approval gate — renamed to "Approval to issue" to cover both.

#2 September 2026

• Added a margin-floor approval workflow to Quotations: a below-floor quotation can be drafted freely but needs sign-off from another team member before it can be issued. Configurable at Settings > Module settings > Sales > Sales pricing.
• Updated the Quotations guide: the Date field now defaults to today, Description and notes is now a rich-text field, and creating a quotation now uses an inline, always-ready-for-the-next-line item table (pick a product, quick-create one, or switch a line to a free-text description) instead of an "Add product" popup.
• Published a new guide, Price books, covering price book creation, tiered/effective-dated entries, and how a quotation resolves its price.

• Published the first complete Sales guide, Quotations, covering the draft/issue/revise/void/expiry lifecycle, creating a quotation, the Quotation number auto/manual entry, version history, PDF download, and version comparison.

• Launched the public OCTO Ops help centre at /help using the default Laradocs theme.
• Added Getting Started and System Requirements guidance.
• Published the first complete end-user guide for Asset Management.
• Documented the Asset Registry, categories, locations, status handling, transfers, reservations, inspection checklists, inspections, audits, consignments, and asset reports.
• Added current limitations for Asset custom fields and Wrong Location audit findings so the documentation matches the live application.
• Added the real OCTO Ops module and submodule navigation structure, with future documentation sections marked Coming Soon.
• Added repository guidance requiring future user-facing feature changes to update this help centre in the same change.
