Stock reports

The Stocks reports — stock overview, summary, batches, availability and damaged stock — and how they filter by business unit.

On this page 4

The Stocks reports, under Reports › Stocks, summarise the stock held in your warehouses — including stock you hold for 3PL customers — by product, store, batch, category and damage.

Before you start

  • You need the Warehouse module and the Warehouse › Stocks › View permission. See Stocks.

Open Reports › Stocks and select a report.

Business units

When your organization has business units, every report except the Stocks by store list (the warehouse page you open from it has one) has a funnel icon with a Business unit filter, starting with the unit chosen in the header. Choose All business units, your main business only, or a unit, which includes its sub-units.

  • A stock row counts under its own business unit or, for stock split or moved from another row, under the unit of the stock it came from.
  • Stock you hold for a 3PL customer, and stock whose unit no longer exists, counts as your main business.
  • The results gain a Business unit column (not on Batches). A product, store or category with stock in several units shows one row per unit.
  • The card title and exported files name the business unit, and opening a product or a batch from a report keeps the same filter.

Current limitations

  • Each report reads all of your stock when it runs, so it can be slow for a large organization.
  • On the stock of one product (from Stocks by product), the Warehouse column is always empty.
  • Reports › Stocks appears on the menu for everyone in an organization that uses the Stocks module, but its pages need Warehouse › Stocks › View; without it they show a forbidden error.
