Container Depot reports are depot-wide: every report reads the whole yard's data, not just records you created yourself, even if your own permission is limited to your own records.
Reach the reports
- Open Reports from the OCTO Ops main navigation.
- Select Container Depot.
You need any Container Depot permission to open the hub. Each individual report then needs the View permission (own or all — either is enough, since a report is never filtered to your own records) for the submodule it belongs to: Overview and System reports need View on Containers, Movement reports need View on Inwards or Outwards depending on direction, except In/out summary by period, which needs View on Containers, Reservations reports need View on Reservations, Estimates & repairs reports need View on Repair Estimates, and under Aging & cashier the Cashier summary needs View on Cashier while the other two need View on Containers and Discharge Lists respectively.
Run a report
- Open the report from its card on the hub.
- Select the funnel icon in the toolbar. The filter drawer opens on the right with all of the report's filters.
- Set the filters. Leave an optional filter blank to include every value.
- Select Filter and run report. The drawer closes and the report runs. Some reports also run automatically when you open them — see each one below.
- Check the results card's title: it shows the filters the report ran with, such as the MLO and the date range.
- Search or sort the results table where the report uses one (plain cross-tab layouts don't).
Export or print a report
Each results table has Copy, CSV, Excel, PDF, Print and Column visibility buttons above it. Summary tables, such as the condition and size summary under Inwards, have their own set.
- Run the report with the filters you need.
- To leave columns out, select Column visibility and untick them.
- Select CSV, Excel or PDF to download the table, Print to print it, or Copy to copy it.
The file is titled with the report and its filters, for example Inward movement report — MLO: MAEU — From: 2026-09-01 — To: 2026-09-25. It holds every row of that run, not only the page on screen, except rows hidden by the table's search box. See Reports for how the buttons work.

- Point-in-time stock by MLO and size: a cross-tab of MLO code (containers with no MLO are grouped as "Unassigned") against 20' / 40' / 45', with a Total column.
- Daily detailed by MLO: four tables — "Inwards on {date}" and "Outwards on {date}" (Container, ISO, Condition, Vessel), "In stock as of {date}" (Container, ISO, Condition, Yard), and "Made available since {date minus 30 days}" (Container, ISO, Available since).
A yard utilization report does not exist in this version — there's no route, page, or card for it anywhere in Reports.
Movement
| Report | What it shows | Filters |
|---|---|---|
| Inwards | Arrivals in the period, as a raw list plus a summary cross-tab. | MLO, Date from (defaults to 7 days ago), Date to (defaults to now). |
| Inwards summary by ISO status | Arrivals cross-tabbed by ISO type and condition. | Same as Inwards. |
| Inwards removals | Arrivals identified as removals (a transporter is set, or the consignee contains "PORT", excluding import/export consignees). | MLO, Date from (defaults to 1 month ago), Date to. |
| Outwards | Releases in the period, as a raw list plus a summary cross-tab — mirrors Inwards. | MLO, Date from (defaults to 7 days ago), Date to. |
| Outwards summary by ISO status | Releases cross-tabbed by ISO type and condition — mirrors the inwards version. | Same as Outwards. |
| Outwards off-hire | Releases identified as off-hire (a transporter is set, or the shipper contains "OFF"). | MLO, Date from (defaults to 1 month ago), Date to. |

| In/out summary by period | Daily in and out counts by container size across the period. | MLO, Date from (defaults to 7 days ago), Date to. |
Columns:
- Inwards: raw list — BL number, Container, ISO, Date, MLO, Condition, Consignee, Vessel, Voyage, Vehicle, Cargo, Yard, Surveyor; plus a "Summary by condition and size" cross-tab of size against condition, with a Total column.
- Inwards summary by ISO status: a cross-tab of ISO type against condition, with a Total column.
- Inwards removals: Container, MLO, Consignee, Cargo, Date, Yard.
- Outwards: raw list — Container, ISO, Date, MLO, Condition, Shipper, Vessel, Voyage, Vehicle, Cargo, Yard, Surveyor; plus the same summary cross-tab as Inwards.
- Outwards summary by ISO status: same layout as the inwards version.
- Outwards off-hire: Container, ISO, Vessel, Date.
- Outwards repositions: Container, ISO, Shipper, Vessel, Date.
- In/out summary by period: Date, then an "In" count and an "Out" count for each of 20' / 40' / 45'.
Reservations
| Report | What it shows | Filters |
|---|---|---|
| Reservations by period | Reservation items with a reserved date in the period. Shows "Choose a filter and run the report." until you select filters and run it. | MLO, Date from, Date to (on the date reserved). |
| Reservations as of date | Reservation items as they stood on a chosen date. Runs immediately when opened, without needing a filter first. | MLO, As of date. |
Booking # on Reservations as of date is usually blank: it is read from the individual reservation line, which is rarely filled in. Use Reservations by period when you need the booking number.
Columns:
- Reservations by period: #, Container, Sz/Ty, MLO, In date, In Con., Current Con., Date Reserved, Booking #, Vessel, Out Date, Seal No., Expire Date, Remarks.
- Reservations as of date: the same columns as by-period, minus Out Date.
Estimates & repairs
| Report | What it shows | Filters |
|---|---|---|
| Estimates summary | Estimates raised in the period. | MLO, Date from (defaults to 1 month ago), Date to (defaults to now), on the estimate date. |
| Estimates by condition | Estimate counts grouped by the container's current condition. | Same as Estimates summary. |
| Estimates awaiting summary | Containers still in stock as of a date, with no estimate yet, excluding containers already in an "available" condition and shipper-return arrivals. | MLO, As of date (defaults to now). |
| Estimates pending approval | Containers with an estimate created on or before a date that isn't yet approved (or was approved after that date), and still in stock. | MLO, As of date. |
| Containers under repair | One row per open estimate as of a date — a container with three open estimates produces three rows. | MLO, As of date. |
| Containers available | One row per estimate for containers that are available as of a date, using the same one-row-per-estimate pattern as Containers under repair. | MLO, As of date. |
| Repair performance | Work orders and when they were opened and closed. | MLO, Date from (defaults to 1 month ago), Date to (defaults to now), on the work order's close date. |
| Repairs completed | Work orders closed in the period. | Same as Repair performance. |
Columns:
- Estimates summary: Estimate, Container, MLO, ISO, Date, Items, Line total.
- Estimates by condition: Condition, Estimates, with a Total row.
- Estimates awaiting summary: #, Container, ISO, Date in, MLO, Condition, Consignee, In cargo, Yard, Suitable cargo, Manufacture date.
- Estimates pending approval: Container, MLO, Yard, Condition, Estimate created.
- Containers under repair: #, Est. ID, Container, ISO, MLO, Date in, Condition, Approved date, Amount, Suitable cargo, Yard, Surveyor remark.
- Containers available: #, Est. ID, Container, ISO, Date in, In condition, Approved date, Yard, Completed date, Amount, Suitable cargo, Stock location.
- Repair performance: Container, ISO, MLO, Yard, Work order opened, Work order closed.
- Repairs completed: Container, ISO, MLO, Yard, Work order closed.
On Containers under repair, the # column intentionally repeats a container's own row number across all of its open estimates — this is expected, not a display fault. On Containers available, Amount shows as a bare "0" for a zero-item estimate, while Containers under repair shows "0.00" for the same case — the two reports format this differently by design.
Aging & cashier
| Report | What it shows | Filters |
|---|---|---|
| Stock aging summary | How long stock currently in the yard has been there. Shows "Choose a filter and run the report." until you run it. | MLO (defaults to "All MLOs"), Date from, Date to (on the in date). |
| Discharge list balance | Not available — see below. | — |
| Cashier summary | Receipts recorded against Container Depot in the period. | MLO, BL number (matches partial text), Date from (defaults to yesterday), Date to (defaults to now), and — when your organization has business units — Business unit (see Business units). |
Columns:
- Stock aging summary: #, Container, #Days, In Date, MLO, ISO, In Condition, Current Condition, Consignee, Status, Manufactured, Yard, Vessel, Vessel Date, Weight, Ventilation, Remark, Suitable for.
- Cashier summary: Reference (with the legal entity's prefix when there is one, PH-7), Customer, BL number, Date, Total, and Business unit when your organization has business units.
Discharge list balance currently fails to open and shows an error instead of a report. There's no workaround from the application; avoid relying on this report until it's fixed.
System
| Report | What it shows | Filters |
|---|---|---|
| Containers without MLOs | Containers in the registry with no MLO set. | None. |
| Containers without ISOs | Containers in the registry with no ISO type set. | None. |
Columns:
- Containers without MLOs: Number, Size/type, Status.
- Containers without ISOs: Number, MLO, Status.
Business units
When your organization uses business units, every Container Depot report except the two System reports has a Business unit field in its filter drawer (the Cashier summary filters on the receipt's or invoice's own unit; see Cashier). It starts with the business unit chosen in the header; choose another (it includes its sub-units), {your organization} (main business) only, or All business units. The results card's title and the export titles name the choice.
- Reports that list inwards, outwards, estimates, discharge-list entries or reservations filter on that record's business unit. Reports about containers in the yard (stock, aging, awaiting estimation, pending approval, under repair, available, repairs) filter on the business unit of the container's inward.
- Reports that list rows show a Business unit column. Summary grids (by ISO and status, by condition, by size, by period) show the filtered counts only.
- Estimate numbers carry their legal entity's prefix, for example PH-3.
Current limitations
- Discharge list balance fails to open and shows an error rather than a report.
- A yard utilization report is not available. It doesn't appear on the hub and there's no page for it.
- Every report's query always covers the whole depot — a permission limited to "own records" on a submodule still sees the full depot's figures once a report is opened, not just your own records.
