An Issue (also called a GIN, goods issue note) records stock going out for a 3PL customer, linked back to a job.
Before you start
Any member of an organization with the 3PL module enabled can open this page; there's no separate permission for viewing an issue. There's no screen in this module to create an issue — see Current limitations.
The Issues list
Open 3PL > Issues (GINs).
| Column | Notes |
|---|---|
| ID | The issue's reference number. |
| Customer | The customer the stock went out for. |
| Store | The issuing warehouse. |
| Date | The issue's date. |
| Status | The issue's status. |
| (View) | Opens the issue's profile. |
The list sorts by ID, descending, by default. There's no search box, no filters, and no export on this list, and no create icon in the toolbar.
The issue profile
Opening an issue from the list shows its profile.
- Issue details — Customer, Store, Date, and Status — all read-only.
- Stock lines — Product and Qty for each line on the issue, read-only. Unlike a receipt, an issue's stock lines don't show a location or a current quantity.
The Print icon appears in the toolbar but leads to an error page — see Current limitations. There's no edit or delete icon.
Current limitations
- There's no way to create an issue from 3PL in this version — the list only shows issues that already exist against a job.
- There's no Excel import for issues, and no picking step — an issue can't be picked or finalised from this module.
- The Print icon on an issue's profile leads to an error page — no print page exists for issues.
- There's no edit or delete option for an issue.
