Events

Create and look up events, and the shared event categories they use.

On this page 7

An event is a scheduled activity with a category, date, time, and address. Event categories are shared — every organization sees the same list.

Important

Events has no working link in the left navigation. Selecting it opens an empty menu with nothing inside it. Every screen on this page is real and working, but there is no in-app link to any of them — you reach them only by typing their address directly into your browser.

Before you start

Events is not governed by permission groups. Any member of an organization with the Events module enabled can create, view, and edit events.

At least one event category needs to exist before an event's Category field has any options — see Event categories below.

The Events list

Open /events/events directly in your browser.

Column Notes
Name The event's name. Links to its profile.
Date The event's date.
Address The event's address.
Status The event's status.

Sort defaults to the Name column, descending.

Create an event

  1. Open /events/events/create.
  2. Enter a Name.
  3. Optionally choose a Category.
  4. Optionally set the Date, Start time, and End time.
  5. Optionally enter the Address and Description.
  6. Submit the form.
Field Required What to enter
Name Yes Up to 255 characters.
Category No Pick from the shared event categories.
Date No The event's date.
Start time No When the event starts.
End time No When the event ends.
Address No Free text.
Description No Free text.

On success, you see a toast reading "Event created successfully" and you're taken to the event's profile.

Edit an event

Open the event and select Edit. The same fields as Create are shown, pre-filled. On success, you see a toast reading "Event updated successfully".

The event profile

Shows the event's Name and Status with an Edit link, its Date and Start/End time, Address, Description, and an Attendance table (User ID | Attendance), or "No RSVPs yet" if nothing is recorded.

Note

There is no way to add or remove an RSVP from this page. Attendance can only be viewed here, never recorded through the interface.

Event categories

Event categories are shared across every organization rather than created per team. Open /events/categories directly to see the list — a single Name column, sorted A–Z.

Important

Creating or editing a category isn't possible. Both the create and edit addresses for categories open a page-not-found error; only the list itself works.

Current limitations

  • The Events module has no working link in the left navigation. Every screen above is reachable only by its direct address.
  • There is no way to record or remove event attendance from the application.
  • Event categories can only be viewed, never created or edited, from this module.
