Stocks is not a screen of its own in OCTO Ops. It doesn't appear in the main navigation, and there is no dedicated Stocks list or form — it exists behind the scenes as a grouping used for reports and settings.
To see stock, use:
- Warehouse, for stock held in your own warehouses.
- 3PL, for stock you hold on behalf of a customer.
- The stock reports under Reports › Stocks. See Stock reports, and Reports for how reports are organized.
Access
The Stocks reports read your warehouse stock, so they need the Warehouse module and the Warehouse › Stocks › View permission (all records or own records give the same reports). Owners and Admins have it. If your organization uses permission groups and yours does not grant it, Reports › Stocks still appears in the menu but opening any of its pages shows a "forbidden" error; ask an Admin to grant Warehouse › Stocks › View. If your organization does not have the Warehouse module turned on, nobody can open them, Owners included; ask your account manager to enable Warehouse.
Current limitations
- There is no Stocks entry in the left navigation, and no dedicated Stocks screen — everything under this heading is reached through Warehouse, 3PL, or a report.
