A material request records materials moved from one warehouse into a workshop, typically to carry out the items on one or more work orders.
Before you start
Workshop is not governed by permission groups. Any member of an organization with the Workshop module enabled can open the Material Requests list and any individual request's profile.
The Material Requests list
Open Workshop > Material Requests.

Sort defaults to the ID column, descending.
The toolbar shows a Create icon, but see Current limitations below — selecting it does not currently open a working page.
The material request profile
Opening a request shows its Date, From warehouse, To warehouse, Status, and Description (if set), followed by an Items table listing each line's Product, Qty, and Note.
The profile is read-only — there are no edit or action links on this page.
Current limitations
- Material requests cannot currently be created from the Workshop module's own screens, including a request built from a work order's material needs. The toolbar's Create icon is shown on the Material Requests list, but selecting it opens a broken page.
- There is no edit screen for a material request.
