Price Groups

Set group pricing for products and link customers to a price group.

On this page 7

A price group lets you offer a set of products at different prices to a group of customers — link the customers to the group and they get the group's prices instead of the product's default price.

Before you start

  • You need Price groups › View to open the list and a group, Create to add a group, and Edit to edit its prices or link customers to it.
  • Create the products you want to price before creating a price group.

The Price Groups list

Open Products > Price Groups.

Column Notes
Name The price group's name. Links to its profile.

There are no other columns and no filters beyond the list's built-in search box.

Create a price group

  1. From the list, select the Create icon.
  2. Enter a Name.
  3. For each product you want to price differently, enter a Group price. Every product not belonging to a customer is listed, with its SKU, name, and read-only Default price for reference, written with your organization's number settings.
  4. Select Create price group.
Note

Only products where you enter a Group price greater than 0 are saved to the group. Leaving a row blank or at 0 does not create a zero-price override — it's simply skipped.

The price group profile

Shows the group's name and an Edit prices button, a Product prices table (SKU, Product, Default price, Group price — "No prices set yet" if none; prices are written with your organization's number settings), and a Linked customers table (Name only, "No customers linked yet" if none).

  1. From the price group's profile, choose one or more customers in Link customers to this price group.
  2. Select Link customers.

You see a toast reading "Customers linked successfully".

Important

A customer can only belong to one price group at a time. Linking a customer to this group silently moves them out of whichever price group they were linked to before — there's no warning before this happens.

Edit a price group

Open the price group and select Edit prices. The same product table as Create is shown, pre-filled with the group's existing prices (0 for any unpriced product); you can also change the group's Name here. Select Save prices.

Current limitations

  • There is no way to delete a price group from the application, even though the profile page is set up to show a Delete option — it never appears because there's nothing behind it.
  • Linking a customer to a price group is a hard reassignment: it silently removes them from any price group they were already linked to.
