Welcome to the OCTO Ops end-user help centre. This site explains what you can do in OCTO Ops and gives you practical, step-by-step procedures for completing common work.
The help centre is public. You do not need to sign in to read any page under /help. You still need an OCTO Ops account, an active organization membership, and access to the relevant module to perform the procedures in the application.
What is documented now?
The first complete guide covers Asset Management. The other modules and their actual submodules are listed in the left navigation with a Coming soon badge. Those entries reserve the agreed documentation structure; they do not necessarily mean that the corresponding OCTO Ops feature is unavailable.
Navigate the help centre
- Select the white f(x) OCTO Ops logo in the top-left navigation to return to the dashboard.
- Use the left navigation to select a module and submodule.
- Use search to find a feature, field, status, or procedure by name.
- On a long page, use the table of contents to jump to a section.
- Follow links between related procedures when a workflow crosses submodules.
- Pay attention to notes, warnings, prerequisites, and status changes before confirming an action.
Start with Asset Management
For a new organization, the usual setup order is:
- Create the required asset categories.
- Create the physical locations used by your organization.
- Add individually tracked assets, per-unit groups, or bulk groups in the Asset Registry.
- Review the status model so users understand automatic and manual changes.
- Add inspection checklists before scheduling inspections.
- Use transfers, reservations, inspections, audits, consignments, and reports as operational work begins.
Screens and available records are scoped to the organization currently selected in OCTO Ops. If expected data is missing, confirm that you are working in the correct organization and that Asset Management is enabled for it.
